Allison Darcy is a writer, educator, and college admissions essay coach currently living in North Carolina. She holds an MA in Religious Studies from Duke University and an MFA in Fiction from North Carolina State University, where she taught creative nonfiction and beginning creative writing.

Allison has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her nonfiction, and her poems and short stories have been finalists in numerous North Carolina state contests, Glimmer Train, and elsewhere.
